Based in Brunn am Gebirge in Lower Austria, Sipwise develops essential cloud communication solutions and infrastructure for telecoms service providers worldwide. The team led by founders Daniel Tiefnig, Andreas Granig and Atilla Ceylan currently has over 60 customers in 20 countries and serves 4 million connected users.
tecnet equity and Speedinvest jointly invested in the company at the end of 2011 as part of a seed round and supported the team in setting up the company and its strategic development. Since then, the two funds have accompanied the start-up through several rounds of financing in the development of the team, product and internationalisation.
In May 2018, Sipwise was acquired by technology provider Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE Holding).
