nxtControl develops software solutions for industrial and building automation. The company is a global technology leader in the field of distributed control systems in accordance with IEC 61499 and object-orientated engineering. The products from nxtControl reduce engineering costs and enable Industry 4.0 and lloT solutions through adaptable, distributed and data-integrated control technology. The dynamically growing company was founded in 2007 with the aim of fundamentally improving the world of automation.
tecnet equity and eQventure jointly invested in the company in 2009 as part of a seed round and supported the team in establishing the company and its strategic development. Since then, the two funds have accompanied the start-up through several rounds of financing in the development of the team, product and internationalisation.
In June 2017, nxtControl was acquired by the French electrical engineering group Schneider Electric.
