Podcast "tecnet | From Research to Value" - Episode 5

🎙️ Grand Finale: Podcast Episode 6 is online!

In the sixth episode of tecnet | From Research to Value, Sophie Egger and Anna Kirchmair discuss citizen science as a form of science communication that not only informs people but also actively involves them in the research process.

Joining them are Daniel Dörler and Florian Heigl, researchers at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and founders of the platform Österreich forscht—the central network for citizen science projects in Austria.

The discussion focuses on how public participation can help shape research, why data collection is only one part of citizen science, and how scientific quality and participation can be combined. In short: how research happens not just for, but with society.

This episode marks the conclusion of our pilot season—for us, above all, it has been educational, inspiring, and motivating. A big thank you to all the guests who shared their experiences and perspectives with us, and to all the listeners who have joined us over the past few weeks. 💐
