Podcast "tecnet | From Research to Value" - Episode 4

🎙️ Brand new: Podcast Episode 4!

In the new episode of tecnet | From Research to Value, we’re once again discussing technology transfer—but this time from a researcher’s perspective. Our guest, Johannes Grillari, Director of the @Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology, The Research Center in Cooperation with AUVA and associate professor at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), tells us how to remain primarily a researcher while still building industry partnerships, developing patents, and even co-founding companies on the side. Sound unrealistic? Then give it a listen!

The interview explores how research and commercialization can coexist, what characterizes stable and long-term collaborations with industry partners, and what role patents and clear delineation of interests play when scientific and economic goals intersect. And although Prof. Grillari deals with cellular aging on a daily basis, the episode - hosted by Leo Capari and Sophie Egger - is remarkably timeless. 😉

The recording took place at the ESA Phi Lab Austria at Schwechat Airport, a place where conversations about research and innovation arise almost naturally.
